Marketing Website & Alternative Platform Device ( Bloom Project )

After designing the Bloom mobile app, I asked what it would take to scale it — so I extended the project into a marketing website and multi-device experience (iPad + Apple Watch). This case study focuses on cross-platform design consistency and how a single product mission translates across screen sizes and contexts.

Project Overview

Project Type: Capstone Extension – BrainStation UX Design Bootcamp
Industry: Beauty & Wellness · Web Design · Multi-Platform Design
Timeline: 2 weeks (2024)
Tools: Figma, Framer, Google Docs
My Role: UX/UI Designer · Prototyper

As an extension of my Bloom capstone app, I designed a marketing website to promote the product and explored an alternative device platform to broaden accessibility. This case study focuses on how Bloom’s core value—reducing beauty product waste—translates across platforms to engage new audiences.

✨ Problem / Goal

While the Bloom app addressed product waste management on mobile, I wanted to expand its reach by designing a marketing website and exploring an alternative platform device. The goal was to showcase Bloom’s value proposition to new users, build brand credibility, and ensure the experience translated beyond mobile.

Design Approach Section Flow:

  1. Moodboard

I created a moodboard to guide the visual direction of Bloom’s marketing site and alternative platform, focusing on elegance, simplicity, and consistency with the app’s identity.

2. UI Inspiration Board → [ Click here for a full view ]

A curated UI inspiration board helped establish structure, layouts, and visual elements suited for a responsive web experience.

  1. Sketches

I sketched different layout options for web and tablet displays, focusing on clear storytelling, strong calls-to-action, and intuitive interaction design

Alternative Devices

✨ Reflections & Impact

Expanding Bloom beyond the mobile app showed how the product could scale into a cross-platform ecosystem.

Business & User Impact (Projected):

  • 📱 Mobile App → 80% of testers said they’d use it weekly to track products.

  • 💻 Marketing Website → Designed to drive downloads + brand visibility, with clear CTAs

  • ⌚ Alternative Devices → iPad for at-home product logging, Apple Watch for quick reminders on-the-go.

Key Learnings:

  • Consistency: Built a system adaptable across mobile, web, and wearables.

  • Scalability: Proved Bloom’s potential to grow into a multi-device ecosystem.

  • Next Steps: Test real conversion rates, integrate partner campaigns, and expand into a community hub for sustainable beauty.
